Publication Frequency
Publication Schedule · Regular Issues · Scholarly Record

Advances in Healthcare Research (AHR) publishes one annual volume comprising exactly two regular numbered issues: No. 1 and No. 2. The journal maintains a regular publication frequency of two issues per year, with each issue assigned to its applicable annual volume.

The journal follows a structured publication schedule covering the periods September–February and March–August. These two periods constitute the journal's regular publication cycle and provide a consistent framework for editorial planning, manuscript processing, publication preparation, and scholarly dissemination.

All manuscripts must satisfy the journal's applicable scientific-editorial, independent peer-review, research-integrity, publication-ethics, administrative, and production requirements before formal publication. Acceptance of a manuscript does not independently guarantee publication in a particular issue.

Regular Publication Schedule

AHR publishes two regular numbered issues within its annual publication cycle. The official issue periods are as follows:

Issue No. 1 — September–February: The first regular numbered issue follows the September–February publication period. This period extends across two calendar years. Its annual volume designation, issue number, actual publication dates, and bibliographic information are recorded in the journal's official publication metadata and archives.

Issue No. 2 — March–August: The second regular numbered issue follows the March–August publication period and completes the journal's two-issue annual publication cycle.

Publication Frequency Principle: AHR maintains one annual volume and exactly two regular numbered issues. Article publication, editorial administration, manuscript processing, and publication preparation must remain consistent with the journal's declared issue structure and applicable editorial and production requirements.

Editorial & Publication Preparation

AHR receives manuscripts through its official Online Journal System (OJS). Submitted manuscripts undergo initial editorial screening for relevance to the current Aims & Scope, eligible manuscript type, originality, scientific contribution, methodological or review-methodological adequacy, research integrity, ethical compliance, and applicable submission requirements.

Manuscripts that satisfy initial editorial requirements normally undergo double-anonymous peer review by at least two independent reviewers with relevant scientific, clinical, healthcare, or methodological expertise. Reviewer recommendations are advisory. Final scientific-editorial decisions remain the responsibility of the authorized academic editor in accordance with applicable journal policies.

The normal scientific-editorial and publication process is Submission → Editorial Screening → Independent Peer Review → Revision → Post-Revision Verification → Final Editorial Acceptance → APC or Waiver Verification → Post-Acceptance Administration → Copyediting → Proofreading & Production → Metadata Verification → Version of Record → Online Publication.

Where an Article Processing Charge or full waiver applies, the relevant payment or waiver administration is conducted only after final scientific-editorial acceptance. APC payment, eligibility, or waiver status does not determine scientific-editorial acceptance or independently guarantee publication in a particular volume or issue.

Manuscripts must complete the required academic editorial, ethical, administrative, copyediting, proofreading, production, and metadata-verification procedures before their final published versions are released. Publication readiness and issue assignment remain subject to the journal's editorial responsibilities, production procedures, and official publication schedule.

Version of Record & Publication Metadata

The final article formally published on the official AHR website constitutes the journal's authoritative Version of Record. The formal publication date must correspond to the actual date on which the final Version of Record is made publicly available online.

Published articles must contain accurate and appropriate bibliographic information, including the article title, author names and affiliations, annual volume, numbered issue, formal publication date, DOI where assigned, licensing information, and other essential publication metadata. Pagination or article identifiers should be reported consistently where applicable.

The publication date must reflect the article's actual formal release rather than the beginning or ending date of an issue period unless those dates genuinely coincide. Volume and issue assignments must correspond to the journal's official bibliographic records.

AHR maintains consistency among published articles, the journal website, OJS metadata, DOI-registration records, and relevant scholarly indexing and discovery services. Accurate publication metadata support citation, digital preservation, discoverability, academic accountability, and the traceability of the permanent scholarly record.

Where a genuine metadata or publication-record error is identified, the Editorial Office may initiate an appropriate transparent correction through the journal's editorial, publication-ethics, and technical procedures. Such corrections must preserve the integrity, traceability, and accuracy of the published scholarly record.

Historical Scholarly Record

AHR maintains the integrity and permanence of its published scientific and scholarly records. Each published annual volume and its two regular numbered issues retain the bibliographic information documented in the journal's official archives.

Previously published volumes, numbered issues, article titles, author information, publication dates, pagination, article identifiers, DOI records, licensing information, and other valid bibliographic metadata remain part of the journal's permanent scholarly record.

Genuine bibliographic or metadata errors may be corrected transparently through appropriate editorial, publication-ethics, and technical procedures. Corrections must preserve the continuity, authenticity, and traceability of the scholarly record rather than obscure or replace valid publication information.

Journal Archives

AHR maintains an online archive of its published annual volumes, numbered issues, and scientific articles. Published issues are accessible through the official journal archives, subject to applicable digital-preservation and website-access arrangements.

The journal archives provide bibliographic information for articles published within the designated September–February and March–August issue periods. The official archive records remain authoritative for each article's volume designation, issue number, actual publication date, DOI, and associated publication metadata.

Readers, authors, researchers, healthcare professionals, and scholarly indexing services should cite the article's final bibliographic information and DOI as displayed in the applicable Version of Record.
