Advances in Economics & Financial Studies (AEFS) is an international peer-reviewed and open-access scholarly journal dedicated to advancing theoretical, empirical, methodological, and practical knowledge across economics, finance, accounting, management, business, marketing, human resource management, sustainability, and related interdisciplinary fields.

AEFS provides an international multidisciplinary platform for research examining economic and financial systems, accounting and reporting practices, organizations, managerial decision-making, employees and human capital, consumers and markets, entrepreneurship, business strategy, governance, innovation, sustainability, digital transformation, and other developments affecting organizations, markets, economies, and society.

The journal welcomes theoretical, empirical, conceptual, methodological, and review-based scholarship from developed, emerging, and developing economies. AEFS encourages studies that generate theoretically meaningful, managerially relevant, economically significant, socially responsible, or internationally transferable insights.

AEFS also encourages interdisciplinary scholarship linking these fields. A manuscript may contribute principally to one recognized AEFS domain or integrate multiple domains. Management, HRM, marketing, business, entrepreneurship, and sustainability research is not required to contain an economics, finance, or accounting variable when it already makes a substantive scholarly contribution within the journal's stated scope.

Peer Review

AEFS applies a double-anonymous peer-review process. Manuscripts first undergo editorial screening to assess relevance to the journal's current Aims & Scope, originality, scholarly contribution, submission compliance, methodological suitability, and research-integrity considerations.

Manuscripts that proceed to external review are normally evaluated by at least two independent reviewers whose scholarly or methodological expertise is relevant to the manuscript's principal field, theoretical or conceptual framework, research design, or analytical approach.

AEFS provides immediate open access to published articles without subscription or reader-access charges.

Authors retain copyright in their published articles.

Publication Frequency

AEFS publishes one volume per year comprising three numbered issues:

Issue 2
May–August
Issue 3
September–December

Beginning on 1 September 2026, AEFS operates a continuous publication model within the active issue so that publication-ready articles may be formally published without waiting for the entire issue to be completed.

 
 
International Orientation

AEFS welcomes scholarly contributions from authors, institutions, organizations, industries, and research settings throughout the world.

International or multi-country data are not mandatory. Single-country, single-market, single-industry, single-company, and single-organization studies may be considered when they address a meaningful scholarly problem and generate insights extending beyond purely descriptive local circumstances.

The journal particularly encourages scholarship that connects context-specific evidence from developed, emerging, and developing economies with broader debates in economics, finance, accounting, management, business, marketing, human resource management, entrepreneurship, sustainability, digital transformation, innovation, organizational performance, and responsible business development.

Where editors have relevant conflicts of interest, manuscripts are reassigned to another qualified and independent academic editor.
