Advances in Economics & Financial Studies (AEFS) is owned and published by Yayasan Pendidikan Bukhari Dwi Muslim.
The publisher provides the institutional, administrative, technical, publishing, and operational framework required for the continuing publication of the journal. Academic editorial decisions, however, are conducted independently through the journal's academic editorial structure.
AEFS separates publisher responsibility, academic editorial authority, and operational journal support in order to promote transparent governance, research integrity, responsible scholarly publishing, and editorial independence.
The publisher supports the journal through responsibilities that may include:
- Maintaining the journal's publishing platform and institutional publishing infrastructure;
- Supporting administrative and operational continuity of the journal;
- Supporting website, metadata, DOI-related, publication, and technical processes;
- Supporting copyediting, production, publication, archiving, and dissemination activities;
- Maintaining appropriate administrative and financial processes;
- Supporting journal policies concerning research integrity and publication ethics;
- Supporting preservation and accessibility of the published scholarly record;
- Maintaining appropriate separation between administrative or financial functions and academic editorial decision-making.
Academic editorial responsibility is exercised through the AEFS Editorial Team. The academic editorial structure is responsible for manuscript evaluation, peer-review oversight, scholarly quality, research-integrity assessment, revision evaluation, and editorial decision-making.
Section Editors and other qualified academic editors may handle manuscripts according to subject expertise, editorial assignment, conflicts-of-interest requirements, and applicable AEFS policies.
Academic editorial decisions are based on scholarly merit, relevance to the journal's Aims & Scope, originality, theoretical or conceptual contribution, methodological quality, research integrity, independent peer-review reports, author responses, and applicable journal policies.
The publisher does not determine manuscript acceptance or rejection on the basis of Article Processing Charges, advertising, sponsorship, institutional relationships, marketing considerations, financial interests, or other non-scholarly considerations.
AEFS journal operations may involve editorial administration, copyediting, production, indexing and metadata support, publication support, communication, and information-technology functions.
Personnel performing operational, production, indexing, administrative, or technical functions support the publication process but do not independently determine manuscript acceptance or rejection.
Academic editorial authority remains with the qualified academic editors designated by the journal.
Editors, reviewers, and other persons involved in manuscript evaluation must disclose relevant financial, professional, institutional, academic, collaborative, competitive, supervisory, or personal conflicts of interest.
Where an editor has a relevant conflict of interest, the manuscript must be reassigned to another qualified academic editor who can provide sufficiently independent editorial oversight.
Publisher ownership or institutional relationships must not be used to influence reviewer selection, peer-review recommendations, editorial outcomes, or post-publication decisions.
AEFS may receive revenue associated with Article Processing Charges and other legitimate journal-related activities. Financial administration is managed separately from academic editorial evaluation.
APC status and waiver eligibility are determined administratively after a manuscript has completed the required academic editorial and peer-review process and received a final acceptance decision.
No financial payment provides an author with a right to acceptance, favorable reviewer selection, expedited scholarly evaluation, guaranteed publication, or another academic editorial advantage.
The publisher and journal management seek to maintain transparent journal information, accurate publication records, responsible financial administration, appropriate publication infrastructure, and clear separation of operational and academic editorial responsibilities.
Where concerns arise regarding journal administration, editorial conduct, publication ethics, conflicts of interest, or the scholarly record, those concerns should be handled through the applicable AEFS policies and official journal communication channels.
