Advances in Economics & Financial Studies (AEFS) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access multidisciplinary scholarly journal advancing theory, evidence, methodology, policy, and practice across economics, finance, accounting, financial markets and institutions, management and organization, human resource management, marketing and consumer research, business and entrepreneurship, sustainability, environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues, responsible business, and related interdisciplinary fields.
AEFS provides an international scholarly platform for research examining economic systems, financial institutions, accounting and reporting practices, organizational and managerial decision-making, employees and human capital, consumers and markets, entrepreneurship, innovation, governance, digital transformation, sustainability, and developments affecting organizations, markets, economies, and society.
AEFS adopts a broad multidisciplinary Core Scope. Research may contribute independently to any recognized AEFS scholarly domain or integrate several domains through interdisciplinary inquiry. Research in management, human resource management, marketing, business, entrepreneurship, or sustainability does not require an economics, finance, or accounting variable merely to establish scope eligibility.
The journal publishes only two manuscript types: Research Paper and Literature Review Paper. Theoretical, conceptual, methodological, managerial, policy, and practical contributions may be incorporated within these manuscript types where supported by the research or review design; they do not constitute additional manuscript categories.
The mission of AEFS is to advance rigorous, ethical, theoretically grounded, methodologically sound, and practically relevant scholarship that contributes to scientific knowledge, academic debate, economic and financial decision-making, managerial and organizational practice, responsible innovation, public policy, sustainable development, and societal advancement.
AEFS welcomes high-quality research from developed, emerging, and developing economies, including international, comparative, cross-cultural, and context-specific studies. International or multi-country data are not mandatory when a study offers a meaningful scholarly contribution beyond purely descriptive local circumstances.
AEFS is owned and published by Yayasan Pendidikan Bukhari Dwi Muslim. The publisher provides the institutional, administrative, technical, digital-publishing, financial, production, preservation, and operational infrastructure required for the continuing publication of the journal.
Academic editorial responsibility is exercised through the AEFS Editorial Team. The Editor-in-Chief and responsible academic editors oversee manuscript evaluation, scholarly quality, research integrity, independent peer review, revision assessment, and editorial decisions. The Managing Editor coordinates editorial workflow and journal administration.
AEFS applies transparent editorial procedures, appropriate conflict-of-interest management, responsible authorship and contributorship practices, research-integrity requirements, ethical use and disclosure of generative AI where applicable, accurate citation practices, and appropriate post-publication corrections to protect the scholarly record.
Submitted manuscripts undergo initial editorial screening to assess scope relevance, paper-type eligibility, originality, scholarly contribution, methodological or review-methodological suitability, research integrity, and submission compliance. Manuscripts proceeding to external review normally receive double-anonymous peer review by at least two independent reviewers with relevant disciplinary or methodological expertise.
Reviewer recommendations are advisory. Final scientific-editorial responsibility remains with the responsible academic editor. Editorial decisions are based on scholarly merit, relevant evidence, research integrity, the applicable journal policies, and the outcome of the editorial evaluation process.
For Volume 1 (2023) through Volume 4 (2026), AEFS followed the historical publication periods presented below. Each annual volume comprised exactly three numbered issues.
The October–January period spans two calendar years. Historical issue designations, actual publication dates, DOI records, and bibliographic metadata remain as originally documented in the journal archives.
Following the historical publication period of Volume 4, Issue No. 3 (June–September 2026), AEFS designates October–December 2026 as a transitional period before implementing its revised calendar-year publication schedule.
No additional numbered issue will be published during this period. Volume 4 (2026) retains its established structure of three numbered issues.
Manuscript submissions, editorial screening, peer review, revisions, editorial decisions, copyediting, proofreading, production preparation, and metadata verification may continue. Eligible manuscripts may be scheduled for formal publication in Volume 5, Issue No. 1, beginning in January 2027.
Beginning with Volume 5 (2027), AEFS adopts revised publication periods aligned with the calendar year while retaining exactly one volume and three numbered issues annually.
Beginning on 1 September 2026, AEFS introduced continuous publication within the active numbered issue. Publication-ready articles may be released individually after the required scientific-editorial, copyediting, proofreading, production, and metadata-verification processes have been completed.
Continuous publication does not create additional numbered issues or increase the journal's annual publication frequency. The model remains subject to the October–December 2026 transitional arrangement and continues within the revised issue cycle beginning in January 2027.
Previously published volumes, issues, publication dates, article metadata, pagination, bibliographic information, and DOI records remain unchanged. The revised publication schedule applies prospectively and does not retrospectively alter the historical scholarly record.
