Advances: Jurnal Ekonomi & Bisnis (AJEB) is committed to responsible scholarly publishing, editorial independence, rigorous peer review, research integrity, transparency, accountability, and preservation of the scholarly record.

These policies apply to authors, reviewers, editors, editorial staff, and the publisher and are informed by recognized principles of responsible scholarly publishing, including relevant guidance from the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Authorship should accurately reflect substantial intellectual contributions to the research and manuscript. Individuals listed as authors must accept responsibility for the work and approve the final version submitted for publication.

Contributors who do not meet authorship criteria should be acknowledged appropriately. Ghost authorship, guest authorship, and gift authorship are not acceptable. Manuscripts must include an author-contribution statement.

Manuscripts submitted to AJEB must represent original scholarly work and must not be simultaneously submitted to or under consideration by another journal.

Material derived from other sources must be appropriately quoted, paraphrased, cited, and attributed. Plagiarism, inappropriate text recycling, duplicate publication, redundant publication, and undisclosed substantial overlap are not acceptable.

Potential misconduct may include, but is not limited to:

AJEB considers allegations concerning submitted and published work. Reports should contain sufficient information to allow the Editorial Office to understand and assess the concern.

AJEB may contact relevant institutions, funding bodies, other journals, publishers, or appropriate authorities where an allegation requires investigation beyond the journal's authority.

Authors, reviewers, editors, and other participants in the publication process must disclose relationships or interests that could reasonably influence or appear to influence professional judgment.

Relevant conflicts may be financial, institutional, professional, personal, collaborative, competitive, supervisory, or otherwise connected to the manuscript or its participants. Editors with relevant conflicts must not handle or make decisions on the affected manuscript.

Research involving human participants, animals, personal or confidential data, vulnerable populations, or other ethically sensitive matters must comply with applicable institutional, national, and disciplinary requirements.

Authors may be required to provide documentation of ethical approval, exemption, informed consent, institutional authorization, or related ethical compliance upon editorial request.

Authors should report methods, data sources, analytical procedures, and research decisions with sufficient transparency to permit scholarly evaluation and, where reasonably possible, replication or reproducibility.

Authors may be requested to provide underlying data, code, instruments, documentation, or other research materials where necessary to evaluate manuscript integrity.

Where data cannot be shared because of privacy, confidentiality, legal, contractual, ethical, or proprietary restrictions, authors should explain the relevant limitations.

AJEB applies a double-anonymous peer-review process. Manuscripts progressing to external peer review are normally assessed by independent reviewers with relevant expertise.

Editors evaluate manuscripts according to scholarly merit, originality, methodological rigor, relevance to AJEB's Aims & Scope, research integrity, peer-review evidence, and compliance with journal policies.

Editorial decisions must not be influenced by characteristics unrelated to scholarly evaluation, including nationality, institutional affiliation, gender, ethnicity, religion, personal beliefs, or commercial relationships.

Authors may use Generative AI or AI-assisted technologies for appropriate support in manuscript preparation, such as improving language or readability, provided that human oversight is maintained and authors carefully review, verify, and take full responsibility for the final content.

AI tools cannot be listed as authors or co-authors because they cannot assume responsibility for the integrity, accuracy, originality, or accountability required of authors.

Material use of Generative AI or AI-assisted technologies must be disclosed in accordance with AJEB's manuscript requirements.

Reviewers and editors must protect manuscript confidentiality. Submitted manuscripts, unpublished data, supplementary materials, review reports, and confidential correspondence must not be uploaded to publicly accessible Generative AI systems or external tools where confidentiality, data security, intellectual property protection, or retention conditions cannot be assured.

Reviewers and editors remain personally responsible for professional judgment and editorial or review conclusions.

AI-assisted diagrams or explanatory illustrations may be considered where their use is transparent, appropriate, lawful, and accurately represents the underlying information. AI-generated images must not be presented as genuine empirical, observational, experimental, or documentary evidence when they are not.

Errors identified after publication are evaluated according to their nature and effect on the published scholarly record.

Where correction is appropriate, AJEB may publish a correction, corrigendum, erratum, or equivalent notice linked to the original article. The notice should identify the affected publication and clearly describe the correction.

Retraction may be considered when published findings are unreliable because of fabrication, falsification, serious error, plagiarism, redundant publication, unethical research, serious authorship problems, manipulated peer review, or other circumstances that materially undermine publication integrity.

Retraction notices should identify the retracted article, explain the reason where appropriate, remain publicly accessible, and preserve the scholarly record.

Where concerns are serious but an investigation remains incomplete or inconclusive, AJEB may issue an Expression of Concern when appropriate.

Authors requesting withdrawal of a manuscript before publication should contact the Editorial Office and clearly explain the reason for withdrawal.

AJEB does not impose a separate withdrawal fee. A withdrawal request does not prevent the journal from investigating suspected duplicate submission, misconduct, authorship disputes, or other integrity concerns identified during editorial processing.

Authors, reviewers, readers, and other stakeholders may submit complaints concerning editorial procedures, reviewer conduct, confidentiality, conflicts of interest, publication ethics, administrative processes, corrections, or other journal-related matters.

Authors may appeal an editorial decision when they believe a significant procedural or scholarly error affected the decision. Appeals should provide a clear explanation and relevant supporting information rather than simply expressing disagreement with the outcome.

Authors retain copyright in articles published by AJEB and grant the journal the right of first publication.

Authors remain responsible for ensuring that submitted content does not infringe copyright or other intellectual property rights and for obtaining necessary permission to reproduce third-party material.

AJEB provides immediate open access to published content. Readers may access published articles without subscription or registration barriers.

Open access supports wider dissemination, visibility, accessibility, reuse, and exchange of scholarly knowledge while preserving appropriate attribution to authors and AJEB as the original place of publication.

AJEB may permit limited and selectively reviewed advertising or promotional content where appropriate. Advertising activities remain separate from academic editorial functions.

Advertising relationships do not influence editorial content, reviewer selection, peer-review decisions, manuscript acceptance, rejection, publication timing, or editorial priorities. The presence of advertising does not constitute endorsement by AJEB or its publisher.

Any AJEB-related solicitation, call for papers, invitation, or promotional communication should be accurate, professional, transparent, and not misleading. The journal does not promise guaranteed acceptance, guaranteed publication, favorable peer review, or indexing in exchange for submission or payment.

AJEB supports responsible scholarly discussion concerning published work. Readers may contact the Editorial Office regarding substantive concerns, potential errors, requests for clarification, or publication-integrity matters. Appropriate editorial actions may include communication with authors, publication of corrections or responses, or further investigation.

AJEB is published by Yayasan Pendidikan Bukhari Dwi Muslim. The publisher supports journal administration, infrastructure, dissemination, technical operations, accessibility, and publication continuity while respecting the independence of scholarly editorial decisions.

Commercial revenue, institutional collaboration, sponsorship, Article Processing Charges, or other financial relationships must not interfere with independent academic editorial evaluation.

AJEB may take appropriate editorial action when journal policies, research-integrity requirements, ethical standards, or publication agreements are violated.

Actions are determined according to the seriousness of the matter, available evidence, stage of publication, and the need to protect the integrity of the scholarly record. Where appropriate, AJEB may consult relevant COPE guidance, external experts, institutions, publishers, or other responsible organizations.
