Advances: Jurnal Ekonomi & Bisnis (AJEB) is committed to maintaining the accessibility, integrity, continuity, and long-term preservation of its published scholarly content.
The journal seeks to preserve published articles, bibliographic information, DOI metadata, volume and issue information, and other essential components of the scholarly record so that published research remains identifiable, discoverable, citable, and accessible over time.
AJEB considers preservation of the scholarly record an essential responsibility of academic publishing. Once an article has been formally published as the Version of Record, the journal seeks to maintain its bibliographic identity and publication history.
Preservation activities may include the following journal and publication records:
- Published article files and the Version of Record
- Article titles, abstracts, keywords, and author information
- DOI and bibliographic metadata
- Volume, issue, publication date, and citation information
- References and citation-related metadata
- Supplementary materials where formally published with an article
- Corrections, retractions, Expressions of Concern, and other formal post-publication notices
- Journal issue and archive information
- Other metadata necessary to support identification, discovery, citation, and continuity of the scholarly record
AJEB operates through the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform. The journal maintains publication records, article metadata, issue information, editorial records, and associated journal information within its publishing infrastructure.
Reasonable technical and administrative measures are used to support platform continuity, data integrity, website maintenance, recovery, and preservation of essential publishing records.
AJEB uses DOI-related bibliographic infrastructure for applicable published scholarly content. DOI registration supports persistent identification and helps maintain discoverability when the location or technical configuration of journal content changes.
Bibliographic metadata associated with published articles may also be distributed to scholarly discovery services, indexing systems, repositories, libraries, citation services, and other research-information infrastructures.
The formally published online article constitutes AJEB's authoritative Version of Record.
Once published, substantive changes are not made silently. Material corrections or amendments affecting the scholarly record are handled through appropriate correction, retraction, Expression of Concern, or other post-publication editorial mechanisms.
Where a formal post-publication notice is issued, AJEB seeks to maintain an appropriate relationship between the original publication record and the relevant notice.
Historical volumes, numbered issues, article publication dates, DOI information, and bibliographic metadata are preserved according to their original publication record. Changes to AJEB's current publication workflow do not retroactively alter the bibliographic identity or publication dates of previously published articles, volumes, or issues.
Beginning on 1 September 2026, AJEB applies continuous publication within the active numbered issue. Articles may therefore be formally published once editorial and production requirements have been completed without waiting for all other articles in the issue.
Continuous publication does not eliminate AJEB's volume and six-issue annual structure. Each formally published article remains assigned to the appropriate volume and numbered issue and forms part of the permanent scholarly record.
Where an article requires correction, retraction, an Expression of Concern, or another formal post-publication action, AJEB seeks to preserve the original bibliographic record while clearly linking the relevant notice to the affected publication.
Published content is not ordinarily removed solely because concerns arise after publication. Removal may be considered only in exceptional circumstances where continued availability would create serious legal, privacy, security, ethical, or other substantial risks.
AJEB supports responsible scholarly sharing consistent with its open-access policy and CC BY 4.0 licensing framework.
Authors may share and archive their formally published articles in institutional repositories, personal academic webpages, scholarly repositories, and other appropriate scholarly dissemination channels, provided that the original AJEB publication is properly acknowledged and the article's DOI and bibliographic information are maintained.
AJEB seeks to maintain continuous public access to published open-access content through its official journal website and associated scholarly metadata infrastructure.
In the event of technical disruption, system maintenance, platform migration, website reconfiguration, or changes to publishing infrastructure, reasonable efforts will be made to restore access and preserve essential article files, DOI information, publication metadata, and issue records.
AJEB does not state participation in a third-party preservation network unless that participation has been formally established and can be publicly verified.
