About the Journal

Advances in Business & Industrial Marketing Research (ABIM) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access scholarly journal owned and published by Yayasan Pendidikan Bukhari Dwi Muslim, Indonesia. The journal advances theory, evidence, methodology, policy, and practice across all scholarly fields expressly recognized in its current Aims & Scope.

ABIM provides an international platform for original research, rigorous literature synthesis, and conceptual scholarship addressing business and industrial marketing, consumer behavior, organizational and strategic management, economics and development, human resource management, leadership, organizational behavior, accounting, auditing, finance, corporate governance, entrepreneurship, innovation, sustainability, and digital transformation.

The journal's mission is to promote rigorous, ethical, theoretically grounded, methodologically defensible, and practically relevant scholarship that contributes to scientific knowledge, academic debate, organizational decision-making, responsible management, economic development, sustainable innovation, public policy, and society. Contributions from developed, emerging, and developing economies are welcome. International or multi-country datasets are not mandatory when a study establishes a substantive contribution beyond descriptive local or operational reporting.

Journal Identity

Official title: Advances in Business & Industrial Marketing Research. Abbreviation: ABIM. E-ISSN: 2985-7589. DOI prefix: 10.60079. ABIM publishes manuscripts in English only.

ABIM recognizes Research Paper, Literature Review Paper, and Conceptual Paper as its three manuscript types. The journal applies double-anonymous peer review, normally involving at least two independent reviewers for manuscripts proceeding to external assessment, and provides immediate Open Access to published articles.

The journal maintains public information on scholarly scope, editorial and reviewer responsibilities, manuscript preparation, publication ethics, fees, publication frequency, ownership, licensing, privacy, preservation, indexing, and official communication channels.

Scholarly Scope

ABIM covers business-to-business and consumer markets, industrial marketing, marketing management, branding, customer relationships, consumer behavior, strategy, innovation, organizational performance, business economics, industry and development, human resource management, leadership, organizational behavior, sustainability, environmental, social and governance (ESG), responsible management, accounting, auditing, corporate governance, finance, entrepreneurship, small business, digital economy, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies within its recognized scholarly fields.

All expressly recognized fields constitute ABIM's main scholarly scope and have equal standing. Their order does not establish disciplinary priority or editorial hierarchy. A substantive contribution to any one recognized field may establish scope relevance; an additional marketing, industrial-marketing, business, or other disciplinary variable is not required.

Single-field and meaningfully integrated interdisciplinary studies are welcome. Research may examine corporate, public-sector, nonprofit, educational, community, industrial, financial, entrepreneurial, digital, or other relevant settings, provided that the scholarly problem, analytical foundation, and contribution fall within the recognized scope.

Scholarly Evaluation

Manuscripts are assessed for scope relevance, clarity of the research, review, or conceptual problem, originality, theoretical or conceptual grounding, methodological or analytical rigor, research integrity, quality of evidence or reasoning, interpretation, and contribution to knowledge or practice. Claims and implications must remain consistent with the actual design, procedures, findings, reasoning, and limitations.

ABIM welcomes defensible quantitative, qualitative, mixed-method, experimental, quasi-experimental, econometric, archival, computational, longitudinal, panel-data, case-based, comparative, behavioral, literature-review, and conceptual approaches. Methods should follow the scholarly question; technical sophistication alone does not establish quality or guarantee acceptance.

Scope eligibility does not guarantee external review or publication. Manuscripts may be declined when contribution, methodological or conceptual rigor, ethical compliance, reporting quality, manuscript-type eligibility, or other essential scholarly requirements are insufficient.

Accepted Manuscript Types

  • Research Paper: Original research using a defensible design appropriate to the scholarly problem, with relevant theoretical or conceptual grounding, transparent procedures, credible evidence, substantive interpretation, and conclusions supported by the findings.
  • Literature Review Paper: Rigorous critical synthesis using an accurately identified, sufficiently transparent narrative, integrative, systematic, scoping, structured, bibliometric, scientometric, meta-analytical, theory-oriented, concept-oriented, or other defensible review design. The procedures must substantiate the claimed method and support meaningful scholarly insights.
  • Conceptual Paper: Original theoretical reasoning, conceptual development, framework construction, conceptual integration, or critical scholarly analysis that identifies a meaningful problem, engages critically with relevant literature, develops coherent arguments or propositions, and provides supported implications.

Research methods, datasets, software, statistical procedures, review approaches, theoretical perspectives, and contribution categories do not automatically constitute additional manuscript types. Authors must select the category that accurately represents the principal design and contribution.

Authors must follow the current ABIM manuscript requirements and official template, prepare a Blinded Manuscript and a separate Title Page & Author Information Form, and submit through the official OJS workflow. Corresponding-author identification, required declarations, and anonymization must satisfy the current author guidelines.

Peer Review & Editorial Independence

ABIM applies double-anonymous peer review. Initial screening addresses scope, manuscript type, contribution, originality, methodological or analytical suitability, integrity, anonymization, and submission compliance. Eligible manuscripts normally receive assessments from at least two independent reviewers with appropriate subject, theoretical, conceptual, methodological, or review-methodological expertise.

The normal scientific-editorial pathway is Submission → Editorial Screening → Independent Peer Review → Revision → Post-Revision Verification → Final Editorial Decision. Author identities are concealed from reviewers and reviewer identities from authors. Recommendations are advisory rather than a vote; the responsible academic editor evaluates the complete record, with final responsibility resting with the authorized academic editor and, where applicable, the Editor-in-Chief.

Decisions remain independent of publisher ownership, institutional relationships, APC payment, ability to pay, waiver eligibility, sponsorship, advertising, and commercial interests. Financial arrangements do not purchase acceptance, favorable review, editorial preference, or guaranteed publication. Relevant conflicts must be disclosed and managed through independent editorial handling.

The journal applies confidentiality, authorship and contributorship, citation-integrity, research-ethics, applicable AI-disclosure, and responsible post-publication procedures to protect scholarly evaluation and the permanent published record.

Open Access, Copyright & Licensing

ABIM provides immediate Open Access without an embargo. Readers may access, read, and download published articles without subscription charges or mandatory registration. Authors retain copyright and grant the journal the right of first publication.

Published articles are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). The license permits sharing and adaptation, including commercial reuse, subject to appropriate attribution, identification of the license, and indication of changes. Third-party material excluded from the license remains subject to its respective rights and permissions.

Article Processing Charge

APC administration begins only after final scientific-editorial acceptance. The standard charge is IDR 1,500,000 per accepted manuscript when at least one author has an institutional affiliation in Indonesia, including manuscripts with mixed Indonesian and overseas affiliations.

A full APC waiver / IDR 0 applies when all authors are institutionally affiliated exclusively outside Indonesia, subject to verification. Eligibility depends on institutional affiliation rather than nationality, citizenship, birthplace, residence, passport, or another personal characteristic.

No APC is payable during submission, screening, peer review, revision, or other pre-acceptance stages. Where payment applies after acceptance, the corresponding author receives an official invoice with authorized instructions. ABIM does not impose separate mandatory submission, peer-review, page, color-figure, language-editing, or withdrawal fees.

Previously issued official invoices, agreed terms, and legitimate historical financial records are not changed retrospectively merely to match the current framework. The full policy governs payment verification, waivers, withdrawal, refunds, and payment security.

Publication Model

ABIM maintains one annual volume with exactly three regular numbered issues. Its stated prospective schedule beginning with Volume 5 (2027) is No. 1 January–April, No. 2 May–August, and No. 3 September–December.

The original volume and issue assignments, actual publication dates, pagination, DOI records, and valid metadata for Volumes 1–4 (2023–2026) remain part of the permanent scholarly record. October–December 2026 is identified in the supplied ABIM framework as a schedule-transition period without a fourth numbered issue. Editorial assessment, revision, decisions, post-acceptance administration, and production preparation may continue under the applicable procedures.

ABIM's stated continuous-publication model applies prospectively from 1 September 2026 within the applicable active numbered issue. Publication-ready articles may be released after final acceptance, applicable administration, copyediting, proofreading, production, metadata verification, and preparation of the Version of Record. This model does not create additional regular issues or authorize artificial backdating or retrospective reassignment.

PERLU VERIFIKASI: The stated publication calendar is not, by itself, evidence of agreement with the frequency recorded by the responsible ISSN centre or of approval of any required frequency amendment. That documentary correspondence remains to be verified.
