The publisher supports journal infrastructure, Open Journal Systems (OJS), administration, publication production, DOI and metadata management, dissemination, financial management, accessibility, preservation responsibilities, institutional communication, and long-term journal development. It supports implementation of journal policies and publication ethics while maintaining the separation between publishing administration and academic editorial decisions.

Editorial and Administrative Responsibilities

• Editor-in-Chief — Mohammad Ashoer: Overall academic editorial leadership, scholarly standards, research-integrity oversight, independent peer-review governance, and scientific-editorial decisions.
• Managing Editor — Muh. Haerdiansyah Syahnur: Editorial coordination, manuscript administration, author and reviewer communication, OJS workflows, journal operations, and applicable post-acceptance administration. Scientific-editorial responsibility is exercised only within the authority assigned under ABIM's editorial policies.
• Academic Editors: Scholarly handling of assigned manuscripts within their expertise and authority, including scope assessment, reviewer selection or coordination, assessment of reviewer reports and author responses, revision verification, and scientific-editorial evaluation. Reviewer recommendations are advisory; final responsibility remains with the authorized academic editor and, where applicable, the Editor-in-Chief.
• Independent reviewers: Confidential, evidence-based scholarly assessment according to manuscript subject, theoretical or conceptual foundation, methodological requirements, independence, availability, and conflicts of interest. Manuscripts proceeding to external review normally receive double-anonymous assessment by at least two independent reviewers.
• Publication and technical personnel: Copyediting, proofreading, production, indexing support, metadata preparation, DOI administration, preservation support, and OJS maintenance. These functions do not independently determine acceptance or rejection. Material scientific, ethical, legal, authorship, metadata, or other publication blockers must be referred to the responsible academic editor; support personnel must not introduce unsupported claims or alter research findings independently.

Editorial Independence and Accountability

Academic editorial decisions are based on originality, scholarly merit, relevance to ABIM's recognized scope, methodological or analytical rigor, research integrity, ethical compliance, peer-review evidence, presentation, and contribution. All expressly recognized fields have equal standing. Publisher ownership, institutional relationships, APC payment, ability to pay, waiver eligibility, sponsorship, advertising, partnerships, and commercial considerations do not determine reviewer selection or manuscript outcomes.

APC or waiver administration begins only after final scientific-editorial acceptance and remains separate from scholarly evaluation. Post-acceptance administration and production prepare an accepted manuscript for publication; they do not independently reopen ordinary peer review or purchase favorable editorial treatment.

Editors, reviewers, authors, and other participants must disclose relevant personal, professional, institutional, financial, supervisory, collaborative, competitive, or other material conflicts. An editor must not handle their own submission or another conflicted manuscript. Responsibility must be transferred to a qualified and sufficiently independent academic editor.

ABIM maintains public information on ownership, editorial governance, peer review, fees, licensing, copyright, publication ethics, and contacts, and periodically reviews its arrangements. Changes to appointments or operational responsibilities should be documented transparently without retrospectively altering valid editorial decisions, reviewer records, publication dates, DOI records, authorship, or other established scholarly information.
